Factoring

You may need to apply these types of factoring:

x2 + 2x = x (x + 2)

x2 – 1 = (x + 1) (x – 1)

x2 + 2x + 1 = (x + 1) (x + 1) = (x + 1)2

2x2 + 5x – 3 = (2x – 1) (x + 3)
